Everyday stress is a part of our world.
Job pressures, family issues, financial concerns, and time constraints are just a
few of the stressors we face daily. Although most of us think of stressors like these
when we think of stress, the truth is that almost anything that disturbs our health
balance may be considered a stressor.
Dehydration, nutritional deficiency, injury, disease, environmental toxins, or even
strong emotional reactions can trigger biological changes that produce a stress response.
Although our bodies have the ability to counteract daily stress, in cases where stress
is extreme or long-lasting, our bodies' protective mechanisms may be overwhelmed,
resulting in more health challenges.
In these cases, it is important that
we:
- recognize our stress responses,
- identify our stressors, and
- work to support our bodies by building
a program to alleviate the problems stress can cause.

| After a stressful incident, use the following
AIM products and make the suggested lifestyle modifications (p. 4) for five to seven
